DE SOTO, Kan. (Feb. 16, 2023) – A Goodcents multi-unit owner and area representative in St. Louis is set to open her third location. Maggie Rothe’s newest restaurant is at 7517 Watson Road, St. Louis.

Rothe opened her first Goodcents eight years ago in St. Louis, her hometown. She currently owns and operates three locations. With the success she’s had with other locations, Rothe sees a great opportunity in the market for entrepreneurs who want to get into franchising.

“To succeed, I have to trust the brand I’m representing,” Rothe said. “The Goodcents brand is undeniably fresh, and our product speaks for itself. I’m just here to get Goodcents to the people. Being a part of the entire process of opening these restaurants, staffing and meeting the community allows me to understand what each of my restaurants can bring to strengthen that community and provide a high-quality, fresh product every time.”

A grand opening celebration is slated to begin at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 20. The first 50 guests will receive a Goodcents swag bag and coupons. A BOGO offer for a free 16-inch cold sub will be available that day and through the end of the month, in-store or online.

Rothe, who was named Franchisee of the Year in 2019, also was Goodcents’ first area representative. In her role as area representative, Rothe helps to recruit other new franchisees to open restaurants in her geographic area, South St. Louis County. She also helps to recruit other area representatives for three additional geographic areas in the St. Louis market.

“My plan for the future is to continue growing the brand so that no matter where someone resides around the St. Louis area, they will always know that Goodcents will be there, committed to having the best fresh-baked bread, sliced-to-order meats and freshly sliced cheeses,” Rothe added.

Goodcents area representatives invest $100,000 in a defined geographic area that will be developed with 10 stores. The area representative receives half of the $30,000 franchise fee for each restaurant in his or her area. The area representative also will be paid one-third of the franchise royalty, or 2% of total sales, from each location.

Farrellynn Wolf, CEO of Goodcents, said the company is excited about the opportunities to grow the brand in the St. Louis market. “Maggie’s success is a result of her hard work and dedication to Goodcents. We look forward to helping her and others grow the Goodcents brand in the St. Louis area.”
